17th May 2021 an exciting day for the UK event & hospitality market with the reopening of indoor hospitality. While we’ve have been appreciating the outdoors, takeaway coffee and dining under tents, the UK hotel market has been busy with new property investments and refurbishments. We take a look at some of the most extravagant new hotels and stunning refurbishments for meetings and events in London and the surrounding areas.
LEONARDO HOTELS
The Leonardo Royal London portfolio includes hotel locations in St Paul’s, Tower Bridge and London City. All three have undergone an extensive £34M investment resulting in transformed state-of-the-art bars, restaurants and bedrooms. Today marks a particularly special day for the hotel group with the launch of the first ever NYX Hotel to the UK located in Holborn.
EDWARDIAN GROUP LONDON
The Londoner part of the Edwardian Group London who also own The Mayfair and Radisson Blu Edwardian portfolio are due to open the world’s first super boutique luxury hotel this Summer 2021. Set in Leicester Square the 16 storey hotel features a collection of restaurants & bars including alfresco dining on the ground floor, a rooftop bar, a magnificent ballroom, private meeting and events spaces, an urban spa experience and two screening rooms.
HILTON LONDON METROPOLE
Hilton London Metropole, the largest Hilton outside of the US, are due to unveil their impressive multimillion renovation. From bedrooms to ballrooms no element of the hotel is left unchanged. Extensive renovations are being made to the hotel's 35 event spaces and meeting rooms, including two dedicated hybrid meeting rooms and three ballrooms, which total over 4,600sqm (49,500sqf) in size, from the 1,062 Square Metres (11,431sqf) Richmond Suite to the Kensington Suite, with its open private foyer and space for up to 1,350 guests.
DE VERE BEAUMONT ESTATE
De Vere Beaumont Estate Old Windsor has unveiled the results of its top-to-toe refurbishment to its Georgian mansion house, The White House. The house features six meeting & event spaces and 26 bedrooms which have all been refurbished to bring it in line with De Vere’s distinctly British aesthetic. Ideal for intimate business events, private dining and banqueting and available for exclusive hire.
THE MITRE HAMPTON COURT
After an extensive make-over the Grade II listed Mitre Hampton Court has reopened as a five-star hotel featuring riverside restaurant, brasserie and bar, Orangery, a riverside terrace and three event spaces. The Orangery a stunningly designed room with floor to ceiling natural daylight and a conservatory roof creating a light and airy feel. A mixture of seating and set-ups are available. There is also a fabulous private terrace overlooking the Thames to break out onto or to have a delegate lunch during warmer days.
FAIRMONT WINDSOR PARK
Due to open this Summer 2021, the remarkable Arora Hotel Group will launch the Fairmont Windsor Park (formerly the spot of the Savill Court Hotel). Set in beautifully landscaped gardens, adjacent to Windsor Great Park and Savill Gardens, this beautiful new hotel will boast over 200 bedrooms and suites, a wing set aside for 15 elegantly designed meeting rooms and a 800m2 pillar-free ballroom that can cater for events up to 700 guests. The hotel promises to be a game-changer in the UK luxury hotel market and will have a strong focus on health, and authentic wellness infused throughout the hotel.
